Tech Company Conducts Electronic Due Diligence For Spin-Off

NTI was called by a multinational software company that needed assistance in a due-diligence project tied to the spinning off of one of their business units. The company wished to identify where intellectual property tied to the departing business unit resided on company computer systems, so said material could be securely deleted from machines not tied to the transaction. The number of machines to be analyzed was staggering – some 3,140 desktop computers and 1,200 servers, scattered literally around the world. NTI was able to deploy a team of experts to perform the analysis via network and on-site overseas (when necessary) in a matter of just six weeks. Consultants worked hand in hand with the client to effectively manage and conclude the project within the time parameters set forth by the executive team. It is likely the largest case of its kind ever completed.
